Biographie Seul à la guitare un soir d'automne 2004, Sim Russell fût foudroyé par quelque chose d'invisible, une sorte de révélation qui allait bouleverser sa vie à jamais... Saisissant chaque opportunité de promouvoir son matériel en parcourant une multitude d'évènement, il était toujours à la recherche de musiciens pour l'accompagner. Ce n'est qu'au printemps 2008 que les choses allèrent changer... La rencontre de Joe Legault, leader de la formation métal: Brief Respite, aura été déterminante. Deux musiciens de ce groupe, Matt Bélanger ainsi que Seb Gauthier se joignirent au projet. Novembre 2008 marque l'entrée en studio du groupe afin de réaliser une première maquette. Le résultat de cet opus donna une sonorité bien particulière de pop-rock progressif. Une puissance vocale indiscutable remplie d'authenticité soutenue par des musiciens virtuoses. Gagnant du prix de l'interprètation et de la présence sur scène du festival de la chanson de Mont-Tremblant 2009, Sim Russell et sa formation n'en sont qu'à leurs premiers balbutiements et font déjà des vagues... Biography Alone in the famous 49, while playing his six strings, Sim Russell was struck by something invisible... That night have changed his life forever... Seizing every opportunity to promote his material, going through many different events, he was always in search of musicians... Things really changed in the Spring of 2008... Joe Legault's meeting, leader of the technical metal band, Brief Respite, was going to be determining in what Sim was going to become. Two musicians from that group joined Sim Russell's project: bassist Matt Belanger and drummer Seb Gauthier. In November of that year, the band entered the studio to produce their first album. The result of that first opus was a very particular tone of progressive pop rock. An indisputable vocal power filled with authenticity supported by virtuoso musicians. Winners of the Interpretation and Performing prize at the Song Festival of Mont-Tremblant 2009, Sim Russell and his band are only beginning but their performance on stage already started to make waves...
